About the Artist

Hi I’m Beth, a painter, a digital artist, and ecological educator. I’m inspired by the outdoors and love practicing art as a way to observe our connections to nature. I’ve lived in many places including tropical islands, hot swamps, and  mountain tops, and now I’m putting down roots in the prairies of Iowa.

I’m a part time environmental scientist and a part time artist. And as a scientist I’ve noticed a pattern to studying ecosystems

Balance

Each individual relies on each other. Nature teaches us a lesson to focus on the ecological strength that communities in nature hold when  encouraging care over competition.

“In the end, there is really nothing more important than taking care of the earth and letting it take care of you.”
